Young Strategist Program

About YSP

YSP is a youth think tank where young people come together to discuss the issues of our world. They devise strategies to address these issues in their local area, state, the nation, and the world. Young people bring fresh perspective and innovative thought. YSP will give space for our young, inspired minds to exercise their greatness and impact the world.

All activities and events are designed to be age appropriate. Our YSP comprises three age groups:

  • YSP Seniors (Ages 15-17)

  • YSP Juniors (Ages 12-14)

  • YSP School Aged (Ages 9-11)

Activities

Field Trips

Field trips are great ways to engage our youth. YSP field trips include visiting museums, meetings with local leaders, attending conferences, and conducting site visits.

Debates

It’s imperative for our youth to have a platform to develop critical thinking and communication skills. Youth debates foster an open and respectful dialogue, leading to a better appreciation and understanding of other viewpoints. Debates are known to build confidence and self-esteem. The opportunity to participate in debates prepares youth for future academic and career opportunities.

Community SeRVICe

Participating in community service is a great way for young people to contribute to their community. Serving the community helps to develop essential skills for success: teamwork, networking, project management, problem solving, etc. Community service also improves job potential and college acceptance.
